Harris County Texas Judge Lina Hidalgo Dodges Questions From Journalist in Houston

Harris County, Texas Judge Lina Hidalgo did not answer questions when confronted by journalist Merissa Hansen about campaign funds allegedly used for criminal defense attorneys in Houston, Texas in a video published on Friday, January 27th 2023.

Hidalgo ran for re-election as Harris County Judge and won in the general election on November 8th, 2022.

According to Hansen, one of the people seen in the video with Hidalgo is Lesley Briones, the Harris County Commissioner-Elect for Precinct 4. Briones is a self-described "former judge, non-profit executive, and public school teacher."

Briones recently spoke in disfavor of Texas Senate Bill 147 (S.B. No. 147), which would ban citizens of China, Iran, North Korea, and Russia from the purchase of property in the State of Texas.

"We must unite against injustice. I was proud to speak against Texas Senate Bill 147, which would ban lawful individuals from China and other nations from purchasing property," Briones said. "Discrimination and hate have no place in our great state of Texas."

Independent journalist, Derrick Broze, who attempted to confront former Secretary of State and Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Mike Pompeo, on Friday.

"God I cannot wait until this spring, summer and fall in Houston. It is going to be fun exposing these criminals again," Broze said on Sunday.
